Chapter1 05/03/2008 It's been approx 2 months now since being discharged from hospital & I'm still hammering away at the gym to get my fitness back. Still attending physio every 2nd week, and as of this week I'm back to running now (Even managed 5km in 29mins - almost fainted ;-) , also knocking away at the weights etc, however still quite abit off from my original strength, I've had to give this alot of thought & with the amount of funds needed for the entry into the R1 Cup & what I'd be putting into it, I just wouldn't want to particiapte in the series half-assed - besides not being 100% fitness yet but also I haven't even had the chance to take a spin on a 1000cc bike yet, I've had to make the decision to opt out - its just not gonna happen. I've gone ahead and renewed my ACU & Club license with Bemsee, .. Although I have projected that I will not be participating in the first round (..or 2), but my aim is to pickup a Yamaha R1 (min year 2006) and jump in with the 1000 Superstock class with the controlled tyre. Stay tuned....(Back in April to May) I've _______________________________________________________________ 31/12/2007 The year 2008 is upon us and just round the corner the start of the race season for all enthusiasts. I am currently sending out my sponsor invites and hoping to land some interest soon in order to allow me a fair backing into the all new and exciting 2008 R1 Cup of which I have been accepted. Its a little bit limiting still being in hospital and all, however as we all know "Time waits for no man", that includes any eccentric racers such as myself. Stayed tuned - more info soon to follow.
